First Commercial Bank of Tampa Bay FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation) Stonegate Bank

Stonegate Bank Assumes All Deposits of First Commercial Bank of Tampa Bay

At the close of business on June 17, 2011, First Commercial Bank of Tampa Bay was closed by the Florida Office of Financial Regulation, which appointed the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as receiver.  To protect the depositors the FDIC entered into a purchase and assumption agreement with Stonegate Bank to assume all of the deposits of First Commercial Bank of Tampa Bay.  All former First Commercial Bank of Tampa Bay branches reopened on Monday, June 20 as branches of Stonegate Bank, ready to serve the community.

Deposits continue to be insured by the FDIC and customers may continue to use their checks, debit/ATM cards and online services as they always have.  Soon you will have the added convenience of nine additional banking offices on the east and west coasts of Florida.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to former First Commercial Bank of Tampa Bay customers and express our commitment to making the transition to Stonegate Bank as smooth as possible.
